I really made it!!!

When I first had the idea for the Asian Brushpainter two years ago, I was confronted with skepticism from all around me. How could a young Chinese girl that only graduated from university three years ago launch her own online store selling Asian brush painting supplies to clients all over the world? How does it work to design and program a website? How to integrate a payment system? How to make sure people find my side on the internet? Do Westerners like Chinese painting? Are there people interested in my products at all? Sometimes my doubts really scared me.
But luckily I always had people around me who believed in me and in this project right from the start. Mainly my mom May who has always been a great source of inspiration and emotional strength for me and of course my friends who did not only support me setting up the shop but who still help me running it now.

Now, I made it!!! 

I would lie if I said that I was not super proud of what we have achieved. What we were lacking in experience and know how we made up for with creativity and hard work. It was touching and motivating how many clients from our first online store were providing us with valuable advice on how to constantly improve and I thank them wholeheartedly for their patience and support – without all these people believing in us and supporting us over the last two years, this project would never have come true.
Now the waiting is over, we really made it we launched our first online store with a huge selection of Asian brush painting supplies, an Asian brush painting glossary, a knowledgebase with related articles for clients who want to know more and read about the history of Chinese calligraphy and Asian brush painting and of course this blog which you are reading now and which we will update on a regular basis.
Now here it is – the Asian Brushpainter – I really wish that you have as much fun browsing through our products and articles as we enjoyed building this site for you.
Since the site is brand new, of course it is unavoidable that some things are not perfect, but we are there for you – please always let us know what and how we can improve or if you are missing anything here which you would like to find. It is through your support only that we can continue building the best online portal for lovers of fine Asian brush painting.
