Famille, meaning families in French, is commonly used to classify Chinese porcelains, or china, by their color palettes. Famille Rose, then, classifies colors that make up the wide range and variety of colors between pink and purple. Traditionally, the colors that fall under famille rose have remained consistently present in China.
