More Info: This paper is Specially made for Landscape Painting

As its name implies, the Landscape Painting Specialist is specifically designed for usage for landscape paintings.

The secret of this paper is that it is semi-processed, meaning it was smeared with a chemical substance called alum. Before the chemical is added, the paper is produced like any other unprocessed Xuan paper, but the alum makes the paper resistant to absorbing water.

For the Landscape Painting Specialist, only a small amount of alum is applied, so the paper still is slightly absorbent. It is also very white and soft. This makes the paper suitable for both Gongbi and Sumi-e landscape painting.

Additionally, this paper also can be used for East-AsianCalligraphy Writing, and is particularly well suited for Kai Shu, Zhuan Shu and Li Shu scripts of Chinese Calligraphy. Since the paper is thin, it will also work well with Encaustics.

Dancing Grace is the name of a series of quality Shuen Paper we hand-selected at the Asian Brushpainter to suit very specific painting and calligraphy writing purposes.
