Native of Tennessee now residing in Virginia. Started painting seriously in 1976. My media at the time was oils, pastels, charcoal, and various mediums. Took numerous classes in Art and Art History at Calhoun Community College and Northern Virginia Community College.
In 1995, I started classes in Oriental brush painting with Master Henry Wo Yue-Kee in the Lingnan style. I was interested in this style of art because of my Martial Arts/Tai Chi’ training. To keep with the belief that as a well rounded person one had to have experience in the following: martial arts, painting, medicine, poetry, and music. Have the ranking of 3rd degree black belt in freestyle karate, have been painting for over 30 years, worked in the hospital for many years, play the violin, but so far no poetry. That will be next on my list of things to do.
Author of two books. “Nature’s Journey” & “Tranquility in Motion”. Recent guest on Virginia Time Travel TV program demonstrating the Koi. The TV show is now on Youtube. My art is collected worldwide by private and corporate collectors.
