Unique hand carved Mountain Red seal stone with a protective Pixiu header. The Pixiu is a Chinese mythological figure - a hybrid between a Chinese dragon and lion which - according to Chinese feng shui teachings is warding off evil spirits and brings wealth and prosperity to your home. This specimen is superbly hand carved, menacingly barring its fangs which makes it look very alive and vivid. The stone used for this carving is a traditional Mountain red stone which feels soft and smooth when touching it; the color is a dark shade of red similar to Maroon red. We can hand carve it for you so you can use it as a signature chop to sign Oriental artworks or as a decorative study item.
