DRAGON AND PHOENIX - Chinese Signature Couple Seal Stone - Orange-Ocher

Beautiful set of our Dragon & Phonex couple seal stone series. Each set consists of two stones with a relief carved Phoenix or Dragon head. Each set belongs together symbolizing a strong bond of friendship or love between the owners. Historically used in the Chinese Literati tradition by artists jointly working on calligraphy or sumi artworks - cementing their cooperation and friendship by signing one and the same artwork with a set of couple stones each bearing their signature.
These couple stones are cuboid shaped with a rectangular angle and come strongly marbled in beautiful shades and hues of ocher, caramel and orange.
