Christine Leisi is a Sumi-e enthusiast from Switzerland who creates superb artworks using our Asian painting supplies. One thing I especially like about her works is how she does not only use the tools and techniques for the traditional painting patterns but departs from the classic compositions, using classic Chinese art tools and applies them to create artworks that reflect motifs from her home country Switzerland. My favorite is the snowbound landscape where Christine had the superb idea of using golden ink to add speckles to the painting for the falling snow giving the entire composition a magic touch… I just love it!
