For artists writing Kai Shu, Li Shu and Zhuan Shu scripts, brushstrokes that are round and smooth are highly desired. Since the Summit of Deities provides exactly these kinds of markings, this brush is one of the most appealing brushes for artists working in these styles.

With a large tip made of pure white goat hair, this brush is both extremely soft and flexible. Because of this, it has a great absorbency that allows ink to run easily and fluidly through the brush to produce a round a smooth product. Additionally, these brushstrokes are great for sumi-e painting as well as calligraphy.

The goat hair for the Summit of Deities comes from the Yangtze River Delta in central China, which has long been famous for producing the best goat hair in China. The unique wooden handle is one of the most intricately carved handles available, complimented by its dark color that allows the grain of the wood to show through.
