Lulu’s Water Paper Book is a series of tools designed to help beginners and advanced artists alike learn and practice calligraphy. Each book features an ancient and famous note in a specific style for you to imitate that will allow you to easily and quickly learn calligraphy. Best of all, every book in this series is made of Magic Water Paper, which uses water instead of ink. The marks you make on this material will disappear about two minutes after you have drawn on it. At that point, you can start over again – it is endless practice. Furthermore, this product has the added bonus of being environmentally friendly!

Written by Su Shi (1037 AD – 1101 AD), one of the greatest Chinese scholars, the text of this note describes a trip he made to Chibi one night with his friends. After some drinks, Su could not help but dwell upon the the misfortunes in his life, but was soon enlightened by the beautiful scene around him. He wrote about how he sighed with relief when he realized how uncertain, short and insignificant life is compared to the great nature.

The Calligraphy in the book was actually written years later by the great calligraphist Zhao Mengfu (1254 A.D. – 1322 A.D.). It is written in Xing Shu style, and is one of the lasting treasures of calligraphy.
