Sun Guoting (646 A.D. – 691 A.D.) was a calligraphist during the Tang Dynasty and also was a great calligraphy theorist. He wrote a book called Shu Pu that explained how to recognize different calligraphy styles and how to write a excellent calligraphy, which became a very important book in the field of calligraphy theory.

This note is taken from Shu Pu and is written in Sun Guoting’s original handwriting in Cao Shu script style.
